I have.
I have a Luger pistol given from my father’s collection. Before, I didn’t pay attention to this pistol;

I have.

I have a Luger pistol given from my father’s collection. Before, I didn’t pay attention to this pistol;

I was more interested with my other gun collection such as Colt 1911 or Berretta M-92 which in my opinion has better appearance.

However, ever since I have friends from military & historical reenactor community, the more I heard stories about how sturdy and accurate the Luger is. It made me put more attention and love to this pistol.

After cleaned and test fire this pistol in the nearby shooting range, I’m interested to find a holster for this Luger. I’ve seen how my reenactor friends wear their World War 2 German army uniform along with this holster to house their air soft gun Luger which looks really nice. Of course I was thinking the uniform and my Luger would look good together.

After I browsed from one websites to another, I only found various information or history about Luger P-08 pistol and not the holster, which I really want it so much.

Even if there is one for sale, the holster would be an authentic WW2 Luger holster which of course would cost very expensive for me.

Finally I asked one of my reenactor friends where did he buy the Luger holster. He simply laughed and said, “There are hundreds of them that you can chose in e-bay”.

Wow, I didn’t remember there is e-bay. Of course I can easily find it in e-bay.

As soon as I search it, I found all kind of Luger holster offered in e-bay. There are originals and replicas. After searching and compare prices, qualities and of course the credibility of the seller I finally found a right holster exactly as I desired.

So if you have difficulty to find the holster, try searching it in e-bay.

After gaining a government contract in 1870 during the Franco-Prussian War, the company began to manufacture rifle sight assemblies. Lowe und Companie's skill and precision at this venture soon led to further government contracts, both domestic and foreign. It was not long before sewing machines were traded for weapons as the successful company began making firearms full time.

In 1886, Ludwig died and Isidor began a joint venture with Waffenfabrik Mauser, AG to produce rifles for Turkey. As time passed, the activities of these two companies intertwined together around the successful manufacture of firearms.

Lowe acquired controlling interest in Waffenfabrik Mauser as well as Deutsche Metallpatronenfabrik Lorenz, a German ammunition factory.

Hugo Borchardt, a German born, naturalized U.S. citizen, worked at several small companies before working for the Winchester Repeating Arms Co. of New Haven, Connecticut.

His first patent was given while with Winchester for a machine to cut lubrication grooves into bullets. He also designed the 1878 Sharps rifle which was named after him. In 1890, after employment at various companies in the U.S. and Europe, Borchardt joined the Lowe firm and later designed a large toggle-action semi-automatic pistol that bears his name.
